GENERALS FINISH IN SECOND PLACE WITH RECORD WINS!
2-22-2009- It has been a long, long time since I last updated this page. I attended several games and pictures links are available on the left hand side below the team links and beneath this update.

The Generals had their most successful year to date since joining the NorPac four years ago finishing with a record of 38-10 and 76 points in the standings. The 38 wins is the most ever by a Generals club. The record and points would have taken the America West Division but was good for second place behind Seattle (41-7 82 points). However, the Generals gave Seattle 4 of their 7 losses and split the season series 4-4.

The Generals open the playoffs with two games at River City on February 24th and 25th and return home for game three on Friday and games 4 and 5 if needed on Saturday and Sunday.

The Jaguars finished in third place with a 26-22 record. Hopefully I can be on hand for the upcoming playoff games but if not I strongly urge you to visit Jay Davis' page for GREAT game photos. Also, special thanks to Jay for selling me his old camera. The improvement of the shots I have captured can be directly related to that!

EUGENE SPLITS AT SEATTLE; HANDLES ROGUE VALLEY 10-2 AT HOME
10-28-2008- After a huge split up north against Seattle, the Generals returned home to face Rogue Valley on a rare Monday night contest.

The Generals continued their dominance of the Wranglers, netting a nice 10-2 win in front of the home fans. The score was 10-1 after two periods and the Generals had one goal disallowed in the third while Rogue scored their second goal of the game at 13:30.

Eugene outshot the Wranglers by an amazing 69-25 margin and outshooting Rogue Valley 26-4 in the third period alone. The Generals return home for a Thursday game against Couer d'Alene and a Halloween match up Friday against the Wrangers once again. Pictures from Monday's win are available here!

GENERALS SPLIT WITH TOMAHAWKS
10-5-2008- Eugene opened their two game homestand with a dissapointing 3-2 loss to the Puget Sound Tomahawks Friday night. Eugene was playing without leading scorer Michael Frei.

The teams were tied 1-1 going into the third period and the Generals briefly took a 2-1 lead with a power play goal. Puget Sound responded some time later with a goal and then added another late in the game for the 3-2 win.

Saturday was different for the Generals as they rebounded from Friday's loss. Eric Watters started the scoring late in the first period then Michael Schlagel added a goal early in the second and John Strahle added the third goal with just over eight minutes left in the second period. Puget Sound scored their lone goal seconds into the third but the Generals prevented any more scoring the rest of the way.

Pictures from Friday's game are available here!

EUGENE WINS OPENER
9-26-2008 - It was a great opening night. Eugene is now 4-0 in home openers. Michael Frei and Eric Watters each scored three goals. Four other Generals scored and also had multiple points night.

The win was the first for Head Coach Jay Miller who has been an assistant for two years. The team plays Rogue Valley again tonight at 7:35pm and returns home next Friday and Saturday for games against the Puget Sound Tomahawks. Pictures from last night's win are available here!

GENERALS CONCLUDE MAIN CAMP
