GREAT SEASON COMES TO END WITH 4-3 LOSS TO SEATTLE 3-5-10-- They took the lead 1-0, then lost the lead, and then came back and came back but couldn't do it one last time, losing the final game of the playoff series to Seattle 4-3 Friday night at Lane County Ice Arena.
Trailing 2-1 after the first, Tyler Poulsen tied the score off an Eric Waters assist at 15:47 sending the clubs into the break tied at 2 a piece.
Jake Rademacher scored just 17 seconds into the third period to give Seattle the lead. Eugene would respond with a Blake Bishop power play goal at 6:28 again knotting the score.
Stormy Knight would score the winning goal for Seattle at 11:47 with numerous fans screaming that the puck was kicked in. Seattle was able to overcome the Generals 50-38 shot advantage for the game.
The loss concludes the Pacific Division Championship best of five series for the Generals who were swept 3 games to none after a first round series win over Tri-City.

BACK TO WINNING WAYS WITH 14-7 WIN 10-23-09-- The game almost never seemed in doubt, although the Generals did let the lead slip to 10-7 in the third they exploded for four more goals to win 14-7 over the Rogue Valley Wranglers last night at Lane County Ice Arena.
After the Wranglers opened the scoring Eugene responded with four goals in the first before leading 5-2 after the first. The Generals would outscore Rougue Valley 5-3 in the second taking the 10-5 lead into the third.
The teams play again tonight down in Medford. Eugene returns home Halloween night after against River City after playing up in Beaverton the night before. Pictures from last nights game are available here.
GENERALS COMEBACK FALLS SHORT 10-19-09-- Three games in three nights seemed to wear the Generals out as they lost their first home game 7-5 to Seattle Sunday night!
Eugene came back froma 5-2 deficit in the second period, closing it to 5-3 going into the third. The team would score two goals and tie it at 5 all but it seemed the team used all its energy in the comeback. The Generals would give up the lead not to much later and also gave up an empty net goal late in the game for the loss. Pictures from the game are available here.
EUGENE WINS WITH PINK 10-16-09-- After a home opening series sweep and a big split on the road at Tri-City, the Eugene Generals won their fifth consecutive game wearing pink jerseys for Breast Cancer Awareness night downing the Puget Sound Tomahawks 5-3 in a hard fought contest! GENERALS COME UP BIG IN SEASON OPENER!10-2-09-- Season five of the Eugene Generals history started out with a bang Friday night at Lane County Ice with the home team downing the defending division champions, Seattle, 7-3. Pictures from the game are available here!
