GENERALS LOSE GAME 5 THRILLER 6-4!
It was a fantastic season! Down 4-1 in the second period the Generals scored a power play goal to close within two.

The third eriod started out OK with the Generals tying the score with about 6 minutes left. Queen City would regain the lead a few moments later but Eugene kept the pressure on and never gave up. The Cutthroats would add an open net goal with about 18 seconds left to get the final 6-4 margin.

For all the folks who have requested pictures this year I am working on sets right now. Please send a reminder e-mail if you don't hear from me soon.

Thanks to the Generals for a great Inaugural Season! Best wishes to the players and their families. Please check back next season for more photos.

QUEEN CITY WINS OPENER OVER GENERALS 4-2!
It was a rough night for the Generals. They would go down 4-0 before scoring in the second period and they also missed out on several power play opportunities losing by a final 4-2 to Queen City in Game One of the Cascade Cup Finals. Pictures from the game can be seen here and I fully expect to be at Saturday's game.

EUGENE LEADS TRI-CITY 2-1; GAME 4 TONIGHT!
Splitting at home probably wasn't what the Eugene Generals wanted in their playoff series with Tri-City but that is what happened. Do instead of having to win one game on the road the Generals need to get two.

Well the team now has to win tonight or tomorrow, after a big 5-4 overtime win Friday night up in Washington State, to advance to the Cascade Cup Finals.

Eugene opened the series with a convincing 6-2 win last Saturday night (game pictures here) but the team just couldn't get the win Sunday afternoon, losing 4-3, so the teams headed north knotted at one game apiece! And of course now the Generals lead the series 2 games to one.

NOTE: Remaining playoff dates announced
March 4 at Tri-City 7:00 pm
March 5 at Tri-City 12:30 pm (if needed)

GENERALS WIN GAME THREE 4-0!
After losing by a score of 8-4 on Saturday the Eugene Generals came back and defeated the Puget Sound Tomahawks 4-0 on Sunday to win the best of three series 2 games to one. The win gives the Generals a playoff series win in their inaugural season. Eugene now faces the Tri-City Titans. Tri-City upset Ft.Vancouver 2 games to one. If I am correct the Generals now have home advantage for the division finals. Please check back later in the week for more playoff coverage. WAY TO GO GENERALS!

EUGENE DOMINATES AFTER GIVING UP GOAL AND WINS 6-1 IN PLAYOFF OPENER!
Huge 6-1 home win for the Generals tonight in the playoffs. Just a fantastic game played by the team and great job in net for Alvarez. It is very early Saturday morning. It is enough to add pictures from the big win are here. The teams continue the series tonight in Bremerton.

GENERALS CONCLUDE INAUGURAL SEASON AT 31-13 AND TIED FOR SECOND PLACE!
The Generals got a big road sweep in Idaho last weekend and placed tied for second with Puget Sound at 31-13 (62 points). Puget Sound gets the higher seed because they won the season series so the playoffs will open with a 8:30pm home game Friday night against the Tomahawks. Congratulations to the Generals organization on a fantastic first season. If all goes well I should be in attendance Friday. Read the Generals press release here and the Tomahawks release here.

GENERALS FINISH AT HOME WITH WIN OVER RIVER CITY !
Eugene came back today after two tough losses to Puget Sound Friday and Saturday to down the River City Jaguars 10-2. The win puts Eugene into a tie for second place with Puget Sound although I believe the Tomahawks have the series advantage. The Generals finish their regular season on the road at the Colts next weekend. The Generals finished 15-7 at home and will more than likely get some more home dates for the playoffs. Pictures from Sunday's game are
here!

TOMAHAWKS HOLD OFF GENERALS TWICE 6-5 and 4-3!
Eugene kept coming back but just couldn't get over the hump in a rare home loss Friday at Lane County Ice Arena. The loss was the 4th straight to Puget Sound, a team now tied with the Generals for second place.

Saturday night saw the same result just in different fashion. Eugene went down early on a freaky goal and outshot the Tomahawks and as coach Freeland said on the online broadcast "the Generals played well". The loss drops the Generals to third place. Eugene will conclude the home schedule of the regular season with a Sunday afternoon game against River City. Pictures from Friday's game are here. (Sorry I missed Saturday's game)

EUGENE GETS BIG SWEEP OVER TRI-CITY !
Eugene dominated Tri-City Friday night winning 7-1 and concluded the sweep by defeating the Titans 7-5 in a battle Saturday night before two good size crowds at the Lane County Ice Center. The win keeps the Generals within two points of division leading Ft. Vancouver and two points ahead of third place Puget Sound.

In other good news, well sort of anyway, the Generals officially picked up a forfeit win for the postponed game at Kent last week. The Generals have 39 games played to Ft. Vancouver's 38 and Puget Sound's 40. Puget Sound visits next Friday and Saturday with the final home game of the regular season scheduled for Sunday against River City. The team then finishes on the road against the Colts in Coeur dAlene, Idaho the following weekend.

My guess is playoff dates will be determined at the conclusion of the regular season, stay tuned to the official team page for that announcement. Pictures from Friday's game are here and from Saturday's win here! Thanks for visiting.
